Jane James - Coach, Trainer, Writer, Management & Change Consultant
If you’d been
at Alton Towers on a chilly Spring day in 1999, you might have seen a woman
in a bright pink jacket, nose in a book, hopping from foot to foot in
excitement and telling anyone who would listen, “This is just so amazing!
You have to check this out!” That was me, reading Sue Knight’s book “NLP
at Work”, and I couldn’t have been more exhilarated if I’d drunk a pot of
espresso and done the Oblivion ride twice. I just HAD to find out more,
which is why I’m now a Certified NLP Practitioner, Master Practitioner and
Trainer.
Why the excitement? With a background in business analysis, IT and finance system delivery, I’d realised that the success of projects depended on more than just a technically excellent solution. The big challenge is to address the cultural and behavioural changes too. Reading Sue’s book, I knew that NLP could provide a great set of tools for doing just that.
I’ve always loved my job and NLP has introduced a new dimension to it.
Now I also work as a Practitioner and a coach. Many of my one-to-one clients have health issues, and it’s a great joy to work with people who are committed to exploring the link between mind and body.
And to complete my portfolio career, I’m a writer, with work performed in theatres in London and Birmingham. I’d always meant to be a writer, and when I got to forty-five, I stopped waiting for the right time, put my butt on a chair and started to do it.
